    First High Temp Brisket

I've been waiting to try a brisket on the WSM for quite some time because of how difficult a task that some say it is. Couldn't find anything but a flat at BJ's. Based upon reading several suggestions from experienced smokers, I elected to try the High Temp method. I thought the results were...

Newbie Looking for "Grilling Steak Advice"

You'll get a lot of different replies to this question. If you liked the way you were able to grill your steaks on the gas grill, I would try to duplicate it with charcoal as closely as possible. Here's the way I like mine. I put a VERY hot bed of coals about 4 inches from the gill surface...

Anyone watching Alton Brown's series "Feasting On Aspha

He's taking a motorcycle tour across the country, stopping at some road food landmarks and intersting, local food establishments along the way. He's started in SC and went to several places in the SC, NC and Georgia. Moving on into the midwest now. Pretty interesting look at regional foods...

    Smokey Joe heat problem

I bought a Smokey Joe during the recent Ace Hardware sale to use for tailgating this year. I've tried it several times since then. I have a real problem getting it hot enough for direct grilling. I saw on some other sites where individuals have made extensive mods to them by adding a vent on...

Went to Panthers Training Camp today and ended up with this.

I made the mistake of letting my wife go into the fruit stand alone while I watched our new puppy. I've never had to take out a loan to buy peaches before this year's trip to training camp!

Thanks to site sponsers and administrators for Podcast shows

I've listened to several of them. They're interesting and very informative. I found the two regarding briskets instructional and a litte intimidating. I'm even more hesitant to try preparing a brisket now than before! :D Seriously, GREAT information. Thanks To All Those Involved!!!
