I didn't know things were showing that I didn't post, I don't know what to "report" I guess I'll wait & see what happens.
I removed my profile photo and I don't have any others.
Thanks, Vic
I didn't know I was glaring, I thought that was a confused look.
I don't have a signature line & I haven't posted any photos. I don't see what you see.
I guess I'll just read and not post anymore. I'm glad you told me, it's like having bad breath or BO and finding out later. Sorry to...
The original subject line for this was 12/31/18 & it was stated it was 2230 Saturday, 12/30/31. I'm new here & I was "corrected" when I commented. :)
Our dinner tonight (12/30) is frozen fish & chips and mixed veggies.
That was my point - things aren't made the same now and brands of the past are not the same quality.
I don't know what your Walmart price comment means. Are the Kitchen Aids at Walmart lower quality than at other stores?
For NYE, I'm fixing a beef tenderloin with a shallot, mushroom & red wine sauce; twice-baked potatoes and broccoli. Probably a small cheesecake for dessert.
New Year's Day will be breakfast for dinner,
I received an Oster Kitchen Center for Christmas 1987! It's still going strong after all these years. I've said many times when it dies I'll get a Kitchen Aid mixer & a new blender, too. (I just looked at it and stamped on the metal is "Made in the USA.")
I used the ham bone & scraps of ham from Christmas and made navy bean soup in the IP. I made corn bread in the IP, too.
Finishing up cookies & fudge for dessert/snack.
This recipe seems to be for a pound cake, they never rise to a light texture. The ingredients, the tube pan & thick batter are very similar to a pound cake my family has made for years (I bake it in a Bundt pan).
I have started weighing my flour instead of using measuring cups - 1 cup = 130...
I've pressure canned meat sauces, clam chowder base, stew meat, etc. Never had an issue with burning in the jars. You tube has some good, trusted videos for canning low acid foods. Is it possible some sauce burned on the underside of the lids?
I had a pan like that years ago. It held one cake mix worth of batter. I used to put it on a cookie sheet for ease. Spray or grease well for easy removal. I covered cardboard rectangles with foil to transport/serve the cake.
