This happened to me on a forum once. A mod went to ban someone via IP address and she took out a bunch of us with the same address.

    What Are Your Other Interests?

When I was in California, I had a ton of hobbies. I did dog training and traveled to dog shows, I raised mice and showed them, I "raised" model horses and showed them, in 4 years I made a lovely garden and had to give all the plants away when I moved, I did search and rescue with a dog group...

High 80s, wow! We're supposed to have rain for the next 12 days or so with a break here and there, but it won't get up to 70. I sure miss California when I started my garden in March, harvested in mid-July, replanted, and harvested again in late October. For crying out loud, the sky was crystal...

Question about hygiene in the kitchen - inappropriate hand washing

I very seldom cook for anyone but me. In fact, I can't remember the last time I cooked for anyone else. So I'm a little lax on being super clean, but I make absolutely sure my hands get washed after touching raw hamburger or raw chicken. That's usually when I've gotten home from the store and...

oops. Anyway, I'm not the only one with a pampas plant. There's a few of them along the road into town. What a day. My neighbors came over to help me put up the canopy. But afterward, I had to stick the legs in cinder blocks, tie them down, then pour sand into the blocks to hold the legs. It...

What did you eat Sunday, April 28,2024?

Long day and an early to bed tonight, so I just had some bacon and cheese scrambled eggs with some sausages.

    Tips for using your microwave

The only tip I have for a microwave is when you decide to toss it, save the plate. You never know when you'll need another plate and even if you don't want to use it someday, you can always sell it on eBay or at a garage sale. I bought the cheapest microwave there is because 1) I'm cheap 2) I...

Best store bought macaroni and cheese

Where in the store do they sell those? Because I'd really like to have some for some side dishes, too.

Best store bought macaroni and cheese

If I could make homemade like Stouffer's, I'd eat that but I can't, so Stouffer's it is but only when they're not charging an arm and a leg. I will NOT pay almost $4 for some mac and cheese. We do have Main Street and Bob Evans here and I've never tried them. Maybe I will in the future. There...

And here I just threw my little tomato plants out in the cold. LOL And then I wonder why nothing grows. It's done nothing but rain all day, so apparently the canopy is on hold. I thought I was done growing things. The contractor came over today and started cutting down all the Scotch Broom...

Jeez, Casey, that's the sort of prank that should get you a medal. You need to brag about that one. *starts getting ideas...* Dragnlaw, I bet they weren't. Although I also bet they told everyone else at their station and laughed their heads off about it.

Let's wait and see if the deer eat them. OK, garden season is officially started in the mouse family. 40 irises, 37 strawberry plants, 6 mammoth sunflowers, 4 tomato plants, 3 blue mist plants, 2 blueberry bushes, and 1 wintergreen plant ♪♫♪ later, I am through planting stuff. Except for the...

OK, thanks! I know exactly what you're talking about now. The problem is, we had a windstorm again and some tree blossoms blew all over the bark. Like I said, without tramping all over the ground, I can't tell the difference right now between the blossoms and the little sprouts. Hopefully...

Can you pan pop microwave popcorn

I read where you can pop regular popcorn in a paper bag in the microwave and I did that for a while, but I ended up with too many kernels that didn't pop. Plus, I always put too much popcorn in the bag and had popcorn and kernels all over the microwave, then on the floor. Those little things travel!

I'm afraid something like that would only get me on Cops if they were still doing the show, and then the camera would be on me being arrested. Cops have their own humor, but wrapping flour in bags and making garbage bags look like human bodies are not something they find amusing. Also, they are...

What's a rhizome? Anyway, they're shallow planted. So shallow I could only spot a couple of them without walking all over the ground. I have a feeling some squirrels or raccoons had a bulb fest. It's nice to know they went into the ground the right way up. I have to tell you all, if I had...

Well, I don't always have milk or eggs in the house. I don't drink milk myself and only use it for cooking, so when it comes to making pancakes, the easier the better and they taste fine to me using the Add Water mix. Naturally, I waste the most expensive of maple syrup on them, too. I keep...

    What's for dinner Thursday, April 25, 2024?

I just made a tuna melt. I added Worcestershire sauce to the tuna as I heard how much it added to the flavor but I have to say, I didn't notice the sandwich tasted any different. I'm already making out my menu list for next month. I can't believe it's almost the beginning of May already.

Woohoo! I finally planted all 40 little iris bulbs today. Most of them had a green sprout on them, so I figured those were the leaves coming out. So I planted them with the sprout pointing up. Then I told a friend and she said those were probably the roots and I planted the irises all upside...

Veeery funny. LOL No, because I'm not sure it was pancake mix. I have the feeling you and dcSaute have the right idea. Oh, well, at least I'm not throwing out a 5lb bag of flour. I've tasted all three and they all taste the same. Yucky. I know there's no rice flour because I've never bought that. I know there's no flour because I just bought a 5lb bag and it's still in the pantry unopened. I know none of them are baking soda or baking powder because I keep those in...

Another ham salad. Or, in my case, some ham and dressing with a little lettuce. What? Someone's gotta eat that dressing before it goes bad!
