Wowsers, Chef Kenny, you nailed it! I'm glad that there are a few here who truly understand :) Thank you, sir!

That would certainly work if one wanted to drink their food. However, as I mentioned earlier, the product I created was hardly drinkable. I'm at fault here, I shouldn't have used the word "spread".

    Yay for experimentation

The other forums to which I belong cover areas such as computers, philosophy, physics, technology, fitness, health, theology, and psychology. You may have a point, I cannot understand why anyone would see food as anything other than fuel. Loving food often leads down a path to health problems...

    What are you doing?

I'm headed to the gym. I found a new app for my iPhone and I'm hoping that it will assist in logging my weightlifting and running.

I'm a bit of an extremist when it comes to food and some folks simply aren't comfortable with that. I'll put more effort into toning my posts down a bit. We all need to get along and I feel that I can change for the better.

I hold membership in around 50 different forums and DC is the only place I have a problem with this. If the problem were with me I would have this issue everywhere, but that simply isn't the case. I'm guessing that the root cause of this problem is that I'm different, and some folks csnmot...

Yes, that is a trick that is often easier said than done.

If you're not mature enough to accept an apology that is not my concern. I'll just have to place you on my ignore list with the others and move on. Life is too short.

You make a very good point about texture. I have a Magic Bullet blender and I gave my chicken spread a few pulses. This yielded a texture similar to chunky salsa rather than a smooth paste. And, thank you for your support :)

I don't mean to come across as condescending, I'm told it's one of the hazards of earning multiple doctorate degrees. To everyone who views my posts as condescending, it is purely unintentional and I apologize. This is something of constant work for me and I do try.

Yes, it's a wonderful phrase. I have a couple friends who use that phrase quite a bit, but can never seem to take their own advice.

I do not recall making any such statement. Perhaps you're seeing what you want to see instead of what is written?

Oh, I'll be the first to admit that my culinary habits aren't popular, but I'm the only one who is responsible for me and I'm happy with my diet. I've been through medical school, I know what I'm doing :)

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion:) Thank you very much :)

I didn't have anything with which to make a sandwich or wrap, so I just ate it with a spoon. Texture isn't really important to me, I just need the nutrients to arrive at their intended destination :) I usually make my own wheat bread but I hadn't done so lately.

    Yay for experimentation

I came home from the gym tired and hungry. Knowing that I needed some protein after a long run, I decided to throw some baked chicken breast, spinach, pickle slice, tomato slice, peperoncini rings, hummus, diced red onion, and green pepper ring into the blender. I used the same proportions that...

I'm sure there are, but I enjoy what I do.

Last thing that made you smile?

I average 10 miles of walking/running each day and it makes me smile to go to bed knowing that I'm keeping fit.

    My favorite healthy breakfast

Your opinion is noted, thank you. I just think it's sad that some folks are willing to settle for health problems instead of finding the strength to change and avoid such things.

    My favorite healthy breakfast

I tried the steel cut oats this morning. It doesn't mix as well with wheat toast and green tea as do the rolled oats, but it was good.

    My favorite healthy breakfast

I trust myself quite well. My favorite foods are fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and legumes.. and I eat them all the time. My favorite foods were different years ago, I used to choose foods based solely on taste. I'm now choosing foods based on nutritional value. I enjoy being able to run...

The URL of these forms is "discuss cooking" not "discuss great tasting cooking", forgive me for not catching the error of the person who registered the domain. I feel you are rude person, as pointed out by someone else in another of my threads, and it's best if I place you on my ignore list.

    My favorite healthy breakfast

I've become interested in dried fruit lately. I brought some cranberries, cherries and raisins. I should try adding these to add nutrients to my breakfast.
