    ISO Orange soda recipe

Does anybody have a recipe for orange soda? You know, one that tastes like the commercially-made products (i.e. Sunkist, Fanta, Slice, and Orange Crush). I tried Googling it, but all I found were mixed drinks or recipes using orange juice or concentrate and a commercially-made soft drink. I...

    ISO Cannoli Recipes

Well obviously, as long as the cannoli shell is intact, it's still a cannoli, whether it be savory or sweet (sweet usually, though).

    Sausage Lentil Soup (like Carrabba's)

Sounds great, only I'd do without the spinach, and substitute chicken broth with pork broth wherever I can find it. I once had a Spanish lentil and chorizo soup at my college at a party in honor of Saint Dominic de Guzman.

    ISO Cannoli Recipes

Hey, if you can stuff a cannoli with mascarpone instead of ricotta cheese, I guess you can stuff it with cake icing. You're right about the traditional cannoli thing, but many chefs have broken with traditions and tried new things, just like the Iron Chefs do.

    ISO Cannoli Recipes

I have an idea! Stuff cannoli shells with coarse white cake icing. It's a fast and easy way to make cannolis. You can also mix the icing with cocoa powder, chocolate chips (any kind), or food coloring, if you wish. If you love licking the icing off the cake with your finger, you'll love...

Ice "cream" using Tofu, Pudding, and Splenda

Not for me. Sugar substitutes like Splenda have a funny aftertaste. If you like making it, enjoy! But just thinking about this recipe, let alone tasting it, makes me think of vomitting.

    Corn Syrup?

Anyway, I hear that corn syrup is pretty bad for your health compared to sugar or honey. Then again, we're not here to live longer, are we?

    TNT chocolate "ice cream"

Hmmm...If I were you, I would omit tofu and use a recipe that includes milk or cream, or both, and requires an ice cream maker.

    Sea Bass

Spinach you say? If I made that recipe, I would do without it. I like it by itself with butter and salt, almost like Popeye, who has it plain out of a can.

    Ice Cream Pie

What? You like the idea of a salty pie crust? Well, you've got your own tastes, while I've got mine. If you think you like it, enjoy!

    Mozzarella sticks

Let's not get carried away now. Anyway, as Emeril Lagasse says, there's good fried food and bad fried food. I am not committed to using animal fats or vegetable oil for frying, but I would coat or dip the foods in the least amount of batter possible for frying, and fry with healthier oils...

    Stuffed Tomatoes TNT

That might work. It's not that unusual. Emeril Lagasse once stuffed red onions with cream cheese or a mixture including it.

    Appetizers for summer party

I have two recipes, one for battered and fried mozzarella sticks, and one for battered and fried onion rings. Want to see them?:chef:

ISO a recipe for homemade pork broth/stock

I bought pork broth at my local Chinese restaurant to make my pork pot pie, for which there is already a thread for. Has anybody ever heard of canned pork broth or stock and where to find it if it exists? I have an idea of how to make homeade pork broth or stock already.

    Refreshing summer beverages

Sounds very interesting, but my all-time favorite drink is seltzer water, which is unbelievably refreshing. It's simply carbonated water. Lemonade is very refreshing as well. And I believe we Americans call your third drink "limeade". I'll have to try some good lemonade and limeade...

    Mozzarella sticks

Caine, I don't think you could have said it any better than you did, and...it's true. When I want to fry mozzarella sticks or onion rings, I dip them in as little flour-and-egg batter as possible, and I would use healthier oils, like canola oil.

Thanks for the explanation, Barbara. I didn't notice that.

    Pizza Pie TNT

Here I would recommend that you use pizza sauce instead of cream cheese, but that's just my preference. Notice how you use "TNT" as the ending word to each recipe that you have posted in the "Appetizers" section?

    Vegetable Pizza TNT

I would recommend pizza dough instead of crescent rolls and that you revise your recipe a little. It's just my preference; you don't have to follow it.
