    What Are Your Other Interests?

I'm a master gardener volunteer. My husband and I enjoy raising herbs and vegetables, as well as flowers - not on the scale of @blissful , @larry_stewart and @pepperhead212 ,but enough to make it worthwhile. I also enjoy reading, especially historical fiction, and studying food history and...

I hadn't thought of that, but the Asian supermarkets here have a lot of live fish. They might have crawfish, too.

Cooking spray alternatives and how to clean ruined CorningWare?

SLoB, the difference is that Japan is an ally - and has been for decades - while China is not. China is using state power to undercut our economy to benefit its own. Japan was borrowing technology to recover from the devastation of WWII. And Japan doesn't use forced labor.

This applies more to clothes than home goods, but I just will not contribute to a company that I'm pretty sure is responsible for a lot of this: Don't take this personally, because it's not about you or anyone in particular, but super-cheap prices encourage many people to buy more than they...

Kitchen "Candy" ~ Or, Look What I Just Got!

It surprised me at first, so I looked it up. It's funny that they haven't changed the name since adding all those items that aren't car-related. Years ago, Walmart just carried groceries. As the built bigger stores and started carrying clothes, electronics, etc., they called them Walmart...

    Strawberry muffins. Tips?

Powdered sugar doesn't work the same as granulated sugar, which holds on to moisture. Try it again with the correct ingredients. Use very ripe strawberries for the best flavor.

Me too, and DH can't eat anything with a lot of flavor in it right now, which makes it difficult for me to think of things to make that we will both enjoy. I saw this in the Washington Post yesterday. A timely message to simplify what we eat and eat what we have (gift article): How to shop...

I love these 40-minute burger buns. They make good dinner rolls, too. Active dry yeast doesn't need to be activated - you just stir it into the flour with the salt. I keep mine in the freezer but warm water wakes it right up. https://www.food.com/recipe/40-minute-hamburger-buns-183081

Chili crunch vs. crisp vs. crisp with peanuts?

Different companies have slightly different ingredients and flavors, but chili crisp and chili crunch are basically the same thing - "Chili crisp is an infused chili oil condiment with crunchy bits, made by simmering chili peppers, onion, garlic and seasonings in oil" (from Chili Pepper Madness).
