    I Agree Carol, I grew up in Pittsburgh years ago, and we had some epic snow storms. But we had few snow days that I can recall. In order for us to have a snow day, the snow had to be measured in "feet", not inches.

    Corn on the cob, the day that it's picked!! Nothing like it. Watermelon at room temperature. Berries of all kinds.

    Do you wear an apron when cooking?

    I wear one when I'm cooking with my granddaughter. I gave her two aprons as one of her Christmas presents last year, and she loves them. So, when we cook together, I don't want to feel left out by not wearing one. We really feel like we are a team when we wear our aprons.

    Bombay Sapphire and Sweppes Tonic Water with a lime twist any time of the year. Sometimes Sandeman's Port when it's cold outside, and a brancy or cognac every once in a while in the cooler months.

    Amen to that. My Mom used to say, "However you start off with a man, that's the way it's going to be". That might be okay in the beginning to start off being so accommodating, but after a while, it can wear on you.
