    Thursday 12/1/11 What's on the plate?

    beef and vegetable minestrone(carrots, celery onions zucchini chickpeas and spinach).. but I make it thick not soupy so it tastes like the chef boyardee cans nom nom nom putting rice instead of noodles in it tonight

    I prefer the garlic press. I smash and peel the cloves first. what's left in the press is just skin-type stuff, I pull it out throw it away. Garlic's really not that expensive.. The press does a better job than I can at mincing plus my fingers don't get all sticky.

    I can think of at least a couple of times, where it was so horrible that I'm sure the person who submitted the recipe thinks they're funny. I usually fall victim to the horrible recipes when I'm trying to use up random ingredients I have left, or trying to fit some sort of grocery goals...

    What have you had for breakfast lately?

    We usually eat the same thing for breakfast every day. Eggs, toast, maple turkey bacon, oatmeal. Today we combined the eggs and toast and had french toast with turkey bacon and oatmeal, how exciting!

    Everyone loves Ramen

    Egg ramen(chicken flavored ramen). When the ramen is almost done cooking, drop an egg or two into the boiling water, let it set a bit and then slightly break it up. add half of seasoning packet when noodles/eggs are done. Pour out most of the water, then add the rest of seasoning. EET!

    Whoa.. I thought could it be? So I looked up chow-fun on google images and YES! those are my favorite kind of noodles... I never knew what they were called until now, I always just assumed they were handmade by the restaurants since I couldn't find any info on em. now I must find some. w00t!
