Where do you keep your air fryer?

Those toaster oven style ones are nice, but being on a very tight budget, I really can't spend the extra money on something I may or may not use often.

Where do you keep your air fryer?

You know, it's funny, I know people who swear by their air fryers and use them pretty much daily. Then you have people like me who just can't get into the groove with them. Mine's a small one, though, and I can't really fit much in there. Like when I would do the hot dogs, I could only fit 4 of...

Where do you keep your air fryer?

Yeah, they're pretty noisy. I didn't mind that too much, though. It was just... well, awkward for me. Mine was gifted to me as well by my late husband, so I had to try it out a few times to see if I liked it or not. But it just never grew on me. It ended up in the store room with the rest of the...

    We're Freezing! Friday, 2-3-2023

Haha, yes, a heat wave compared to other areas. Stay warm!

Where do you keep your air fryer?

My air fryer lives in the appliance graveyard. Has been there for several years. The only thing I have ever used it for is cooking hot dogs, because someone told me that cooking hot dogs in an air fryer makes the dogs taste like they just came off the grill. And she wasn't lying. Air fryer hot...

Looks good :yum: I'm having shrimp tonight as well, but tossed with angel hair pasta, scampi style. Cold here too. Although other areas have it worse than we do, today's high was 20 with a 0 degree wind chill.

I haven't seen these yet. But I'll be sure and stay clear of them if I do. Thanks!

Saturday, 2023 January 14, is anyone else having supper?

I'm having one of my favorite sandwiches, grilled cheese, bacon and tomato (cooked in my sandwich maker). And I'm also having cream of celery soup.

In the kitchen..what are you very good at and which areas of cooking not so?

Oddly, Chorizo is one of the few foods I won't eat.

In the kitchen..what are you very good at and which areas of cooking not so?

Ditto. I love to cook, but I can't bake to save my life. "Place and bake" cookies (using frozen or refrigerated cookie dough) is about as far as I can go. I can bake cakes as long as it's a mix from a box, but even that is usually too much trouble. If I want pie or a cake, I'll purchase one...

Can I reheat cookies in a microwave?

I see. Was not aware of that.

Can I reheat cookies in a microwave?

Well, maybe it's a dorm room or someone renting a room from another person's house... or maybe one of those tiny apartments with limited resources. Some of those place only have a fridge and microwave. For stovetop cooking, you have to buy a hot plate.

Can I reheat cookies in a microwave?

That was going to be my question. A little confused by this.

What are you eating the last Saturday of the year, New Year's Eve, December 31, 2022?

Don't know what I'm eating. I'm home by myself, so probably just whatever I come up with. Will probably just eat some pizza rolls or something.

What are you eating Friday, December, 23, 2022?

My son and I are doing something easy - frozen pizzas. It's been a tough day, with the bitter cold temps (-24 wind chill) and going outside, bundled up, in this crazy weather to start the cars and let them run for a bit. Then we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house because the screen...

My wife picking me up tomatoes from the store.

Those Campari tomatoes are amazing. Roma's are okay as long as you let them ripen a bit more on the counter (I never put tomatoes in the fridge). But as expensive as the Campari tomatoes are, they're the only ones I'll buy during wintertime.

Sun Chips made with Black Bean Southwestern Queso review...

Everybody's cutting corners to save money. I've noticed several products that just don't seem to taste right.

Sun Chips made with Black Bean Southwestern Queso review...

When Sun Chips first came out, they were so good. But over several years, they just don't taste the same as they used to. Not to mention how expensive they've become. Because of the reduction in flavor (may be just me, but I still say they're not as good as they used to be) and the rise in cost...

Wendy's Italian Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich Review....

The deep-fried mozzarella is taking it a step too far for my personal taste. Otherwise it looks good. However, I agree the price is way too high. I'll sometimes make chicken parm sandwiches at home, pretty much the same way as it's made up above (minus the excessive cheese) and they're delicious...

    Wendy's Peppermint Frosty Review...

I hope so. What I don't understand is why they can't have all 3 flavors at the same time. I mean, it's not like they couldn't afford an extra Frosty machine.

I would probably like them, since I love the Harvest Snaps.

    Wendy's Peppermint Frosty Review...

I was thinking of trying one soon. To be honest, however, I just want my vanilla Frosty back! I wasn't crazy about the strawberry. I mean, it was okay and all. But I didn't think it was anything special and this coming from someone who loves strawberry ice cream and shakes. BTW, I love...

    Anyone into grits?

Love grits. I like them simply with butter and salt and maybe a little milk once they're finished cooking. I eat Cream of Wheat (a favorite of mine since I was a kid) the same way. I made shrimp and grits once from a nice looking recipe I found online. It wasn't bad, but not something I'd make...
