It's with the heaviest of hearts that I let y'all know our beloved Sparky died this morning, November 4, about 3:45. It was a bit sudden and we have a very sad household today. Harley, his best bud, is shaken to the core and loved on him and stayed with him all night long...snuggling up to him and resting her head on his back. They were the best of friends from the beginning.

At the moment Glenn is digging his grave with the tractor and we'll put him to his final rest very soon.
He was our angel doggie and had a heart bigger than the universe.

So sorry to hear this, @KatieH. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Any loss in a family is hard, no matter if they are human or animal.

@Katie H please except my deepest condolences. ((((hugs))))
As others have already said, losing a fur-kid is difficult.
DH & I had to take 3 vacation days to mourn the lose of our GSD ... I had never seen him cry, until then.
How's Harley doing?
Not too well. She still wanders the yard searching Sparky's hang out places. We've now allowed her to come inside at night and sleep on her beddie in our bedroom. So far, she's done well. No accidents and she willingly appreciates the hugs she gets when I get up to go to the bathroom during the night.

No doubt, she misses her Sparky bud!
