Oh, my, LT! Keeping good thoughts for you and your eyes. Not sure what I'm making for dinner tonight, but it is likely to be something easy too.

Cold, nasty night out so I had apple & cinnamon oatmeal for supper. Mom had banana's and cream oatmeal. We had the last of our chicken & rice soup for lunch today.

Minestrone soup, ww toast with red berry puree, baked 'fried' green tomatoes.

We haven't bought frozen pizza since we let our Costco membership lapse. They had some pretty darned good individual pizzas. Today, I got a grocery delivery with experimental frozen pizzas and they were decent, but not wonderful. They weren't as good as the ones we used to get from Costco. They are darned convenient when you don't have much energy, which invariably happens to me on grocery delivery days. Not much cleanup and the boxes are still clean, so they can go into recycling. I think I'll want to keep a couple of those around.

Raisin' Cain's vs Chick-fil-a tonight.

We ate the Chick waffle fries while in Cain's drive-through, but saved everything else for home. We have long been fans of C-F-A, and that has not changed. We liked its darker breading, and the plain chicken had a better flavor - probably because of the pickle juice brine. The waffle fries are super to crinkle cut fries, and Cain's coleslaw was meh. Their dipping sauce was very good, though. Himself said it was the best part of Cain's meal.

He skipped dessert. I had two dozen blueberries, nearly a cup worth. They were huge! and tasty.

Dinner last night. Shallow fried chicken strips, steamed fresh peas, and mashed potatoes.

@Cooking Goddess , are you guys in Ohio yet?
I saw those HUGE blueberries as well yesterday at the Green Grocer, didn't get any though.

THX, PPRHD ...
They got to me too late to save the right eye, but the injections have reasonably corralled the degeneration in the left.....
Sorry to read about the right eye.

I have sort of the opposite of macular degeneration, I have glaucoma. I lose vision from the outside and inwards, while yours starts in the centre and works its way out. Does it leave you enough vision in the right eye to have some depth perception?

Just yesterday I watched this video of Kenji making a copycat recipe of Chick-fil-A's fried chicken sandwich. It looks really good. I'm going to give it a try one day.
