Looking at the amount of liquid (4 cups broth, 1/2 cup wine, 1/4 cup vinager, plus 1/2 cabbage), I'm thinking 1.5 litres? Maybe a generous two litres with the tomatoes, meat & cabbage juices?
I just got a whole pork shoulder at costco, think I'll make this! once the weather cools down a bit, maybe next week. Still summer temps here in BC.
I hope this doesn't sound too snarky, but I can guess that too. I want the amount from real world experience with this soup. Yes, I know it will only be approximate, but it's better than a guess. I can almost never figure out how much volume the vegis and meat will add.

I don't measure soups by volume (cups, pints, quarts) but by portions. My version of the recipe is good for 8-10 dinner servings. If I had to guess, 2.5-3.0 quarts.

I agree with 8-10 servings. Rather than adding more vegetables etc, I would suggest some sides. Otherwise you could quickly have 20 or more servings.

I seldom measure the volume of the finished soup either. This lets me know which pot is big enough and how much space the rest is likely to take in the freezer. Thanks.
