8 Qt. Instant Pot and Meatloaf.

Thanks for the help everyone. I can use that recipe and see what happens. As for weird taste, this is my favorite Slow Cooker recipe... https://crockpotladies.com/crockpot-manly-meatloaf/ My family loves it! Steamed? No problem.

8 Qt. Instant Pot and Meatloaf.

Hi all. I have an urge to make a meatloaf in the Instant Pot. I've looked online and all I can find are recipes for the 6 Qt. 1, 1-1/2, and 2lbs of ground beef. I can find nothing for the 8 Qt. size. I have an 8" Springform pan the fits my 8 Qt. perfectly. It does hold 3lbs. of ground beef...

    Order of Food

Thanks for the help. I do have my own way with the sauerkraut. Bit complicated. My wife rinses. Then I saute some onions, add the sauerkraut, then some beef broth. When the broth cooks off, it goes in the slow cooker with some diced bacon. The bacon melts and provides a nice hickory smoked...

    Order of Food

Hi all. Haven't been here for a while. Wife and I are planning to make pork chops, potatoes, and sauerkraut in a slow cooker. From some of the on-line recipes I've seen, layering is totally different from recipe to recipe. Some call for pork chops on bottom, others call for sauerkraut on...

How do you cook your Corned Beef & Cabbage?

If there is a Moderator on this website, please have the "courtesy" to remove me from these forums. I'm tired of arguing with everyone who can't give me a simple answer. If someone can't answer me, I see no reason why I should have to make something "their" way. I like to be active and in...

How do you cook your Corned Beef & Cabbage?

Gee. I thought the Title of THIS forum was called..."Slow Cookers" not Cast Iron, not Microwave, not Pressure Cooker, not Toaster Oven. If I ask for help in the "Slow Cooker" forum. Common courtesy would mean someone can answer me with a Slow Cooker answer. Not..."Cook it in a Cast Iron Stew...

    Sekanice

Anyone have any recipes they can share? I've tried the internet and only found 2 that look right. (My wife and I made this once over 10 yrs ago). Neck bones and carrots doesn't sound right on some of these recipes.

How do you cook your Corned Beef & Cabbage?

Done! Since this was my first time with Corned Beef in a Crockpot, it almost turned out perfect. I gave the meat 6 hrs on High. Then added some Baby Reds,(Mountainking brand). Their website said they can stand up to cooking and stews. Nope. Just over an hour and the potatoes were turning to...

How do you cook your Corned Beef & Cabbage?

I never said I was dumping everything together. As it is, with the lack of response I got, I am cooking the corned beef first for 5 hrs. Then the potatoes for 2 hrs, then the cabbage for an hour. Oh, I checked and this is called the "Slow Cooker" forums. It seems every time I have questions...

How do you cook your Corned Beef & Cabbage?

Again with the Crock Pot. My wife got a beautiful 5# chunk of Corned Beef. I have found half a dozen recipes on the internet. All different. One says throw in the meat, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage all at once, and cook for 8 - 10 hrs. Another says cook the meat for 6 hrs, then add...

    Slow Cooker Pork Chops Question

Mabe for the same reason you keep pushing that roaster. I like crockpots! I own 5 crockpots and am looking into getting a 10 Qt. that Hamilton Beech just came out with.

    Slow Cooker Pork Chops Question

Sorry. For me its a given. The chops, along with all meat I put in a slow cooker, would be fried first. Don't plan on buying an 18 Qt. roaster just for one recipe. It will be cooking in a liquid/sauce.
