I have been using this marinade for a while and it is my favorite for steaks. The only problem is it is hard to find locally. I want to know if anyone knows how to duplicate it in some way.
I bought the JC Penny Cooks 13 piece SS Tri-ply for a super deal. I tried cooking and egg on the 10" pan and wow is it hard to cook in. The egg stuck to the pan. I let the pan warm up and put some oil in to coat it and waited for the oil to get hot and then cracked the egg in place...
I am new to SS tri-ply cookware and want to know which types of utensils can be used in these types of pans? Can you use SS utensils as well? Does it matter if they scratch the pans? Just curious what you guys use.

So which ones should I buy to sharpen Tojiros and Shuns? I don't want to spend a ton on stones :ohmy:. My other half would kill me :smile:. Thnaks for the detailed writeup on the new stones.
I am set with knives for now. I just need help on the cookware. The Costco set is not available anymore :(... I was looking at the Tamontina ones at wallmart and they are now priced at 150.00 so I also ventured to look at JC Penny as well.

Did you buy a set already? I am also looking for a set and think the one posted by Bob is the best deal. Thnaks to this website I almost plunked 1000 for a knife set and 600 for cookware from Bed Bath Beyond.
