    Tree Repair Progress

Wow! yard looks so different without the tree. But I'm sure the other plantings will take over and make for some nice scenery when a little more mature. Love the irises. Mine get one flower then nothing. Don't have a green thumb like you! :)

    Yellow Tomatoes

It was at 6:30pm. Salad was pretty good, as were the meatballs. :yum:

    Yellow Tomatoes

So, I took the yellow tomatoes, a couple of red tomatoes and some onion and chopped them up and marinated them in a sweet lemon vinegarette dressing. It'll accompany the Salisbury steak meatballs and noodles for tonight's dinner. We'll see how it goes. Thanks everyone for the suggestions and info.

    Yellow Tomatoes

I tried one of the yellow tomatoes with just salt - it had a mild sweet flavor but didn't jump up and smack you like a fresh red garden tomato. Might try the rest in a salad.

    Yellow Tomatoes

Our neighbor gifted us with several yellow tomatoes. I've never had them before and wondered who here has had them and what did you make with them? :chef:

Book Club May 2021 - "My Kitchen Year" by Ruth Reichl

I did get the Kindle version - I have a Kindle Paperwhite and it doesn't do color. I have the app on my laptop, but I don't like reading on it. Even in black and white I still enjoyed the pictures. :yum:

Book Club May 2021 - "My Kitchen Year" by Ruth Reichl

I began this book with much anticipation, but about halfway through grew less enthused. I'm not sure I understand completely the reason she wrote the book. Why did she take so long to find another job? With her experience she should have had one pretty quick. Also I found that going to expensive...

The Kindle version does have the photos, although mine are in black and white since I have a Kindle Paperwhite. They would most likely be in color in a different model.

Will someone make a new page for this for the book club. I'm not sure how to do it.
