I live about 2 1/2 hours from the fort. I attended K-State back in the day, so I am well familiar with Fort Riley! My back would like my ovens at eye level too!:lol:

When I was looking for a good knife for less than $50, I shopped for vintage carbon steel Sabatiers on Ebay [like those Julia Child used to use on her early TV shows]. Back then, I found lots of great knives cheaply. I don't know if you can replicate my finds today.

I have one of these. It fits in one of my ovens, leaving the other one free for other things.

I like wood! Better for your knives, and more sanitary. I use this table for meats, and a couple of small boards on top for other items.

I can't help you with a 30 inch model, but my own stove is my favorite. It is a 42 inch wide Crown gas range.

I collect the old aqua glass version of these types of jars and bottles and use them for food storage in the kitchen. I have sizes ranging from 6 gallons [which I use like pickling crocks and for the 25 lb economy bags of sugar I like to buy] to one pint jars for my home dried herbs. I...

I have bought real heavy duty used baking pans at a restaurant supply store for as little as $1 or 2 per pan.:cool:

After your wedding is over, and you have a chance to look at your kitchen loot, you may find that there are still more things you need. When I did not have the funds to go out and buy premium cookware, I found it at bargain prices on the secondary market. IE: thrift shops, flea markets...

Gad, why is it that you always like the same cooking equipment that I like? I own several different sizes of these carbon steel Dexter Russell old turners and spatulas. Mine are all over 20 years old and are very sturdy. I bet the ones at your church are Dexter Russell too!

I don't know how many cups of flour it will handle, but I WILL say that a Hobart N50 mixer will beat a Kitchenaid like it hurt somebody! Ask Gadzooks! I am sure he will agree.

I have had Vita Mix 4000 blenders for years.......they are the bomb!
