    Late Blight on Tomatoes

I had the most beautiful tomatoes this year, all different kinds of heirlooms, but then we got continous rain for about 3 weeks and now they all have late blight : ( I always save the seed (I have one variety that is from my grandmother), but I've never had devastation such as this disease has...

    Anyone make wine at home?

I have so many grapes every year. I have been canning the juice and making jelly with it as needed, but I would like to try wine. Any advice on what kind to kit to get, or anything else would really help.

Save seeds to replant for next year?

We've been saving my grandmothers tomatoes for over 60 years through the generations. I rinse the seeds to get the sticky stuff off of them and then dry them for around a week on a plate. Then I store them in small glass jars in the closet until next year. I have also saved squash and...

    Tomato question

I have never frozen tomatoes with the skins on, but if I had I think that I would just make the sauce skins, seeds, and all. You can always run the tomatoes through a food processor and go from there and then the seeds and skin will get blended in.

    Rachel Ray/Dog Food

I saw it in the grocery store and I was amazed that her name was on yet another grocery item. At least the dog food doesn't cost 2 or 3 times as much as the other varieties of dog food. Unlike the Rachel Ray EVOO.

    Vacuum Cleaner

I went to a vacuum dealership and decided to get a Riccar. Upon getting it home, I was not to thrilled with it. It works perfectly on carpet, but 80% of my house is hardwood. The hose attachment part is way to short for me also. I'm going to give it one more try and maybe return it.

    Vacuum Cleaner

Thanks for all of the suggestions and advice. I've never seen a Panasonic, I don't think. I'm going to go back and tally up responses and see if there are more of one brand than the other.

    Animal abuse

I raise and did breed rat terriers, so I almost became physically ill when I read that. They are the best dogs and if it was barking, it was more than likely trying to warn that man about something. I cannot begin to understand the behavior of people that I read about everyday.

    ISO creamy tomato soup
