For those who love dogs, and who doesn't, Purina is sponsoring the National Dog Show on Thanksgiving Day. We get it on NBC at noon, but you may have a different time.
Just one more reason to be thankful!

I have a friend who is a retired dog show host. She was Best in Show at the Westminster show in 2014. She has some fascinatin, and funny stories about dog shows.

BTW, to long-time members, Teddy (AKA psycho-poodle) passed away from cancer in August. For those who don't know, he is my avatar on the forum.

caseydog, we'd love to hear some of your friend's stories about dog shows!
I'm sorry about Teddy's passing. Most humans should have as good a life as our pets have. Over the years we have lost two beloved dogs and a beloved cat. Eventually you may feel the need to have another pet. If so, lucky, lucky pet!

On Thanksgiving Day, we watch parades and the Dog Show. We enjoy it and it keeps the dogs out of the kitchen too! Stanley (7-YO Cardigan Welsh Corgi) loves TV and especially shows with dogs and animals. Silly boy. Cadie (3-YO Cardigan Welsh Corgi) gets interested if there are dogs on TV. Sometimes I feel bad, as I think, they think, they are looking thru a window and these things are happening out in our yard!

Oh casey! So, so sorry to read this, Psycho-poodle (aka Teddy) was, by me, a beloved member here! LOL,yup, love them all and relate to all their stories. August was only a couple of months ago, am sure you still miss him.
