I had leftover dumplings and the glass noodle stir-fry, but then I found a great deal on mussels. An eclectic meal, but it was pretty good! What about the rest of you?
Today was a weird day for eating. I had beet greens, beet stems, veggie rice, seasoned tempeh, then later, a lot of seedless watermelon. Watermelon is such a nice treat!
Tonight for supper I baked some store bought breaded haddock and some oven "fried" potato. I had a salad of Boston lettuce, mustard greens, shaved red onion, and sliced cucumber. I used up the last of the batch vinaigrette. I also used a couple of wedges of lime on the fish. Lime, 'cause it was already cut open. Why yes, there is an ice cube in that glass of wine. I didn't have any cold white wine.
taxy, I bought a countertop ice machine (my tiny fridge doesn't have a freezer) just to have ice in my wine during the summer. I've always done that.
It's almost time to dig it up and find a spot for it somewhere!
Edit: ps
I posted my "linner" in the Lunch thread. Thai style soup.
Grilled a nice 12oz striploin and the first bunch of asparagus from a local farm with greens again from a local farm with lots of sheep feta, red onion and some brined cherry peppers from Italy. Local stuff is starting to come alive, finally.
Cheat dinner last night. Rao's frozen pepperoni pizza. It was actually quite good. Nice crust, good sauce, and lots of pepperoni. Forgot to take a picture, as usual.
